| dc.description.abstract | Na memória da população ribeirinha do Velho Chico, as chulas, as rimas, os ritmos. Os que deixam essas bandas levam essas cenas consigo. Mais de vinte anos depois de partir, a autora deste trabalho retorna à Ibotirama, BA, e ouve as vozes que negam essas expressões. Essas afirmativas a levaram a um labirinto de perguntas e de busca de respostas. Era preciso compreender as transformações ocorridas na produção cultural periférica e suas inter-relações. Se aproximou do Reisado de Nega, dos seus atores e dos seus ritos. Em paralelo, traça o curso das cidades do território do Velho Chico e a sua gênese, ligada ao rio, que ditou por anos a dinâmica desses lugares. O surgimento das rodovias distanciou as cidades do rio, modificou os modos de vida e os sentidos atribuídos a ele. Nesse percurso a cultura popular vai sendo percebida como parte desse movimento. O rio e esses personagens são elementos que se ressignificam para permanecer. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.abstract2 | In the memory of the riverside population along the "Velho Chico" (São Francisco River), chulas, rhymes, and rhythms resonate. Those who leave these areas carry these scenes with them. More than twenty years after her departure, the author of this work returns to Ibotirama, BA, and hears voices that deny these expressions. These affirmations led her into a labyrinth of questions and a search for answers. It was necessary to understand the transformations occurring in peripheral cultural production and their interrelationships. She approached the Reisado de Nega, its performers, and its rituals. In parallel, she traces the course of the cities in the Velho Chico territory and their genesis, linked to the river, which for years dictated the dynamics of these places. The emergence of highways distanced the cities from the river, altering ways of life and the meanings attributed to it. Throughout this journey, popular culture is perceived as part of this movement.
