| dc.description.abstract | Neste estudo, apresenta-se uma análise desenvolvida a partir da noção de silêncio/silenciamento (Orlandi, 2007) no interior da teoria do discurso de base francesa (Pêcheux, 1975;1983) e seguindo o paradigma indiciário de Ginzburg (1991). Toma-se como arquivo de leitura processos jurídicos que envolvem mulheres no início do século XX na região do Alto Sertão da Bahia, salvaguardados pelo Arquivo Público Municipal de Caetité; elege-se, deste arquivo de pesquisa, um processo jurídico cujo acontecimento-crime ocorreu em 13 de novembro de 1913. Objetiva-se, com esta pesquisa, interpretar como mulheres/enunciadoras significam (e são significadas) a partir da imposição do silenciamento oriundo da estrutura patriarcal e quais efeitos de sentido esse silenciamento constrói. Nesse percurso, discute-se como as mulheres são violentadas, silenciadas e colocadas em um lugar de subalternização, sobretudo em espaços de poder como o judiciário. Para isso, articula-se teoricamente a categoria de linguagem com questões relativas ao gênero e ao patriarcado (Lerner, 2019). Conclui-se, parcialmente, que a mulher do processo analisado enuncia a partir da opressão que sofre por sua condição de gênero, raça e classe, e a partir do silenciamento que lhe é imposto; e é nessa conjuntura que seus dizeres e os efeitos de sentidos que são produzidos pelo processo jurídico estão inscritos numa formação discursiva que concebe as mulheres como submissas e subalternizadas. | |
| dc.description.abstract2 | In this study, we present an analysis based on the notion of silence/silencing (Orlandi, 2007) within the French discourse theory framework (Pêcheux, 1975; 1983) and following Ginzburg’s (1991) evidential paradigm. The corpus consists of legal proceedings involving women in the early twentieth century in the region of Alto Sertão da Bahia, preserved in the Municipal Public Archive of Caetité; from this research archive, we selected one legal case whose crime-event occurred on November 13, 1913. The aim of this research is to interpret how women/enunciators signify (and are signified) through the imposition of silencing resulting from the patriarchal structure, and what meaning effects this silencing produces. Along this trajectory, we discuss how women are violated, silenced, and placed in a position of subalternity, particularly in spaces of power such as the judiciary. To this end, the theoretical articulation connects the category of language to issues related to gender and patriarchy (Lerner, 2019). We conclude, partially, that the woman in the analyzed case enunciates from the standpoint of the oppression she suffers due to her gender, race, and class, and from the silencing imposed upon her; and it is within this conjuncture that her utterances and the meaning effects produced by the legal process are inscribed in a discursive formation that conceives women as submissive and subalternized. | |
