| dc.description.abstract | Neste estudo, investigou-se como a somali Ayaan Hirsi Ali, em sua autobiografia: Infiel, a história de uma mulher que desafiou o islã (2007), constituiu a si nos diferentes espaços entre Oriente e Ocidente. A obra alcançou sucesso de vendas no mercado editorial de diversos países, tendo como marca fundamental a fragmentada subjetividade contemporânea de uma imigrante que, ao renunciar ao Islã, empreendeu uma luta pela liberdade de expressão enquanto mulher, que lhe rendeu a condenação à morte por fundamentalistas islâmicos. A escrita de Hirsi Ali representa o narrar-se pós-moderno que conflui em textos híbridos, performáticos e midiáticos de um eu múltiplo e descentrado nos espaços pelos quais passou e como se constituiu a partir deles. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.abstract2 | This study investigated how the Somali Ayaan Hirsi Ali, in her autobiography Infidel: The Story of a Woman Who Challenged Islam (2007), constituted herself across different spaces between East and West. The work achieved bestseller status in various countries' publishing markets, fundamentally marked by the fragmented contemporary subjectivity of an immigrant who, upon renouncing Islam, undertook a fight for freedom of expression as a woman. This struggle earned her a death sentence from Islamic fundamentalists. Hirsi Ali's writing represents a postmodern self-narration that converges in hybrid, performative, and media-rich texts of a multiple and decentralized self, shaped by the spaces she traversed and how she was constituted by them.
