| dc.description.abstract | Estudar os festejos em louvor aos Santos Reis, padroeiros da comunidade rural de Aldeia, localizada no Município de Governador Mangabeira-BA, entre os anos de 1970 e 2000, consiste em analisar os significados dessa manifestação de caráter religioso e festivo para os moradores dessa comunidade. Para tanto, utilizamos as memórias desses moradores como recurso metodológico primordial a fim de compreender as peculiaridades dessa festa, o que a torna singular em relação a outras festas em louvor aos Santos Reis no recôncavo, bem como analisar a relação entre sagrado e profano como constitutivas dos modos de vida dos grupos sociais daquela comunidade. Outra questão que buscamos compreender com a pesquisa é como os moradores de Aldeia entendem e participam do processo de reinvenção que a tradição de festejar os três Reis Magos vem passando ao longo do tempo, haja vista, que as tradições não significam sobrevivência de antigas formas e práticas ossificadas no tempo, mas, sim, sua capacidade de agregar e articular novos elementos, construindo, dessa forma, novos significados. | |
