dc.description.abstractEste memorial descreve o projeto “Filhos do Guerreiro Ilustre: A jornada até o cárcere”, livro-reportagem que retrata a trajetória de jovens internos do Conjunto Penal de JuazeiroBA (CPJ), provenientes do bairro do Argemiro, na mesma cidade. Tendo como objetivo investigar a relação existente entre as políticas públicas para juventude no município e o número de jovens internos da referida instituição, foi escolhido o formato livroreportagem por possibilitar um maior aprofundamento nas problemáticas acerca da temática. A metodologia deste trabalho é quanti-qualitativa, sendo utilizadas entrevistas semiabertas e em profundidade; além da análise dos dados referentes ao perfil da população carcerária, dos índices de violência e do quantitativo de políticas públicas municipais. Os participantes corresponderam aos internos, fontes especializadas e fontes oficiais de órgãos da Prefeitura de Juazeiro, permitindo que o tema fosse contemplado nas diferentes perspectivas. A partir da realização, foi possível perceber que há um perfil da população do CPJ formada em sua maioria por homens, negros, pobres e de baixa escolaridade, os quais tiveram suas jornadas impactadas pela ausência de ações públicas efetivas e violações de direitos, como também pela inexistência de políticas municipais voltadas para a faixa etária de 15 a 29 anos, nos últimos quatro anos (2022-2024). Esperase que este produto atue na cobrança de mudanças de perspectivas no que se refere a ações junto a população jovem periférica.
dc.description.abstract2This report describes the project “Sons of the Illustrious Warrior: The Journey to Prison”, a book-report that portrays the trajectory of young inmates of the Juazeiro Penitentiary Complex (CPJ), from the Argemiro neighborhood, in the same city. With the objective of investigating the relationship between public policies for youth in the city and the number of young inmates of the aforementioned institution, the book-report format was chosen because it allows for a deeper understanding of the issues surrounding the topic. The methodology of this work is quantitative and qualitative, using semi-open and in-depth interviews; in addition to the analysis of data regarding the profile of the prison population, violence rates and the number of municipal public policies. The participants corresponded to the inmates, specialized sources and official sources from Juazeiro City Hall agencies, allowing the topic to be considered from different perspectives. From the results, it was possible to see that the CPJ population is made up mostly of men, black, poor and with low levels of education, whose lives have been impacted by the lack of effective public actions and rights violations, as well as by the lack of municipal policies aimed at the 15 to 29 age group in the last four years (2022-2024). It is expected that this product will act to demand changes in perspectives regarding actions with the young population in the outskirts.
