dc.description.abstractA presente dissertação reflete as possibilidades e desafios da aplicação de uma Educação Patrimonial voltada à cultura local, contextualizada com o semiárido sanfranciscano, na cidade de Juazeiro, Bahia. Juazeiro é uma cidade localizada ao norte da Bahia, que se desenvolveu às margens do rio São Francisco e tem a sua história e cultura grande parte associada a esse rio. Uma das formas de se iniciar a Educação Patrimonial consiste em se identificar a percepção que a comunidade tem sobre seu patrimônio cultural. Nesse sentido, essa pesquisa tem como objetivo geral compreender a percepção de docentes e discentes do Colégio Municipal Paulo VI sobre o patrimônio cultural da cidade de Juazeiro e se há na escola o desenvolvimento de atividades educativas que levem os alunos a uma aproximação e interação com o patrimônio local. A metodologia consistiu inicialmente em se levantar os patrimônios culturais da cidade e seu estado atual de preservação e conservação e em seguida a aplicação de pesquisa no espaço escolar que foi realizada com 43 participantes, sendo 16 professores e 27 alunos. Para obtenção dos dados optou-se pelo uso do questionário semiaberto, aplicado de forma presencial na própria Unidade Escolar. Com relação ao patrimônio da cidade foi constatado, a partir das leis municipais 1.371/1994, 1.372/1994 e 1.667/2002, que um dos maiores problemas em relação aos bens culturais é a falta de tombamento dos bens e de um Plano Municipal de Cultura, pois, tais ações dariam suporte à regulamentação e fiscalização patrimonial na cidade, já que as alterações de fachadas e demolições de prédios históricos tem sido uma constante. Com relação à pesquisa escolar pôde-se constatar que ambos os grupos (professores e alunos), do Colégio Municipal Paulo VI, consideram como patrimônios culturais da sua região os elementos que remetem à cultura ribeirinha, tais como: o vapor Saldanha, as ilhas, a ponte, a carranca, a orla, o nêgo d’água e outros; também, a comunidade escolar citou o patrimônio imaterial como congados, sambas, artistas locais, além de praças, igrejas, museus e casarões, indicando conhecimento acerca do seu patrimônio. Observamos também que essa comunidade identifica a situação de abandono desse patrimônio, e que consideram como principais responsáveis por tais condições a comunidade e o poder público municipal. Consideram que a escola tem realizado algumas atividades educativas voltadas ao tema cultural, especialmente sob a forma de gincana. Os resultados dessa pesquisa indicam que o patrimônio cultural de Juazeiro é percebido pelos estudantes e professores como muito rico e diversificado, fortemente relacionado ao rio São Francisco, à história local e aos festejos religiosos. Concluímos que os elementos culturais citados pelos participantes da pesquisa se relacionam fortemente à cultura local, que existe laço de identidade entre essas pessoas e o seu patrimônio, mas, que cabe ao processo educativo reforçar e ampliar tais laços, inclusive no que se refere ao campo do envolvimento para a conservação da cultura local. Por fim consideramos ser possível pensar na formulação de políticas públicas educacionais centradas no Patrimônio Cultural da cidade.
dc.description.abstract2The present dissertation reflects the possibilities and challenges of the application of Heritage Education focused on local culture, contextualized with the semi - arid San Francisco, in the city of Juazeiro, Bahia. Juazeiro is a city located to the north of Bahia, that has developed to the banks of the river São Francisco and has its history and culture great part associated with this river. One of the ways to start Heritage Education is to identify the perception that the community has about its cultural heritage. In this sense, this research has as general objective to understand the perception of teachers and students of the Paulo VI Municipal College on the cultural heritage of the city of Juazeiro and if there is in the school the development of educational activities that lead the students to an approximation and interaction with the equity. The methodology initially consisted in raising the cultural heritage of the city and its present state of preservation and conservation and then the application of research in the school space that was carried out with 43 participants, being 16 teachers and 27 students. To obtain the data, we opted for the use of the semi-open questionnaire, applied in person at the School Unit itself. With regard to the patrimony of the city, it was verified, from the laws 1,371 / 1994, 1,372 / 1994 and 1,667 / 2002, that one of the biggest problems in relation to the cultural goods is the lack of tipping of the goods and of a Municipal Plan of Culture since such actions would support the regulation and patrimonial control in the city, since the alterations of facades and demolitions of historical buildings have been a constant. With regard to school research, it can be seen that both groups (teachers and students) of the Paul VI College consider the cultural heritage of their region as elements that refer to riverine culture, such as the Saldanha steamship, the islands, the bridge, the frown, the water's edge, the waters of water, and others; Also, the school community quoted immaterial heritage as congados, sambas, local artists, as well as squares, churches, museums and mansions, indicating knowledge about their heritage. We also note that this community identifies the situation of abandonment of this patrimony, and that the community and the municipal public power are considered the main ones responsible for such conditions. They consider that the school has carried out some educational activities focused on the cultural theme, especially in the form of gymkhana. The results of this research indicate that the cultural heritage of Juazeiro is perceived by students and teachers as very rich and diverse, strongly related to the São Francisco River, local history and religious festivities. We conclude that the cultural elements mentioned by the participants of the research are strongly related to the local culture, that there is a bond of identity between these people and their heritage, but that it is up to the educational process to reinforce and expand these ties, including in the field involvement in local culture conservation. Finally, we consider it possible to think about the formulation of educational public policies centered on the city's cultural heritage.
