| dc.description.abstract | Este artigo tem como objetivo identificar e analisar as representações sociais de estudantes do bairro Alto da Maravilha e de professores que atuam com esses alunos, investigando se há o reconhecimento da identidade quilombola por parte dos discentes e se há presença de preconceitos nas representações docentes relacionados à origem territorial e étnico-racial dos alunos. O bairro Alto da Maravilha, está situada na cidade de Senhor do Bonfim Bahia, além de ser um bairro periférico, é também reconhecido como uma comunidade quilombola. Ao se falar em quilombo, muitas vezes, ainda se observa a presença de preconceitos enraizados, trata-se de uma comunidade formada majoritariamente por pessoas negras, com uma história marcada por luta, resistência, mas também uma rica herança cultural ancestral. A metodologia adotada é de abordagem qualitativa, com a aplicação de questionário fechados aberto com participação de 10 estudantes moradores da comunidade e 10 professores de instituições de ensino que atendem alunos da comunidade. As representações sociais observadas revelam um autorreconhecimento fragilizado entre os estudantes e ações pedagógicas pouco efetivas. As falas apontam representações de exclusão e preconceito, mas também representações sociais de resistência, orgulho e desejo de mudança. Os dados reforçam a urgência de uma educação antirracista, com formação docente contínua e compromisso com a história e cultura quilombola. | |
| dc.description.abstract2 | This article aims to identify and analyze the social representations of students from the Alto da Maravilha neighborhood and teachers who work with these students. It investigates whether there is recognition of the quilombola identity by the students and whether there is prejudice in the teachers' representations related to the territorial and ethnic-racial origin of the students. The Alto da Maravilha neighborhood, located in the city of Senhor do Bonfim, Bahia, is not only a peripheral neighborhood, but also recognized as a quilombola community. When discussing quilombos, prejudices rooted in the fact that it is a community mainly formed by black people, with a history marked by struggle, resistance, but also a rich ancestral cultural heritage, are often still observed. The methodology adopted is qualitative, with the application of open and closed questionnaires with the participation of 10 students residing in the community and 10 teachers from educational institutions that serve students from the community. It is expected that the results will contribute to the recognition and valorization of the quilombola identity in the school environment. The observed social representations reveal a weakened self- recognition among the students and ineffective pedagogical actions. The statements indicate representations of exclusion and prejudice, but also social representations of resistance, pride, and a desire for change. The data reinforce the urgency of an anti-racist education, with ongoing teacher training and a commitment to quilombola history and culture. | |
