dc.description.abstractEsta pesquisa centra-se no estudo da versão jacobinense sobre os festejos das guerras de reconquista da Península Ibérica. A festa se realiza mesclando reminiscências dos festejos coloniais com a história local. A memória social atribui a um grupo de negros a origem desta manifestação. Foram esses, que no batuque, na construção de suas práticas sociais, do seu cotidiano e de suas subjetividades reinterpretaram a Marujada, dando-a uma nova roupagem. A memória jacobinense registra o início desta manifestação com as famílias Caranguejo e Labatut, que lá teriam começado seu batuque e construído um território povoado de fé e devoção a Santo Antônio e São Benedito. Utilizando a memória oral como fonte de análise, a Marujada é aqui interpretada no campo de compreensão que abrange: o pensar do homem comum que assume as personagens da festa, sua relação dentro desse espaço e suas representações sobre a própria História da cidade como instrumentalizadores para o entendimento da Festa da Marujada e identidade local em Jacobina.
dc.description.abstract2This research focuses on the study of the Jacobina version of the festivities of the wars of reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula. The festival is held by mixing reminiscences of colonial festivities with local history. Social memory attributes the origin of this event to a group of black people. It was these black people who, through the batuque, in the construction of their social practices, their daily lives and their subjectivities, reinterpreted the Marujada, giving it a new look. Jacobina memory records the beginning of this event with the Caranguejo and Labatut families, who would have started their batuque there and built a territory populated by faith and devotion to Saint Anthony and Saint Benedict. Using oral memory as a source of analysis, the Marujada is interpreted here in the field of understanding that encompasses: the thinking of the common man who takes on the characters of the festival, his relationship within this space and his representations of the city's own History as instrumentalizers for understanding the Marujada Festival and local identity in Jacobina.
