dc.description.abstractA pesquisa investiga a influência da Lei 10.639/03 e da história local na autoidentificação dos alunos da Escola José Brito dos Anjos, na comunidade remanescente de escravismo de Lagoa do Zeca, entre 2006 e 2021. Alinhada ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Estudos Africanos, Povos Indígenas e Culturas Negras (PPGEAFIN) da UNEB, na linha de pesquisa “Cultura, Educação e Memória”, a investigação tem como problemática central verificar se a valorização da ancestralidade dos alunos está ligada à educação familiar, à representatividade midiática e ao ambiente escolar, especialmente com a aplicação da Lei 10.639/03 na prática pedagógica. Busca-se também investigar a conscientização do legado histórico pelas comunidades remanescentes de escravismo colonial1 . O objetivo geral é identificar as contribuições da Lei 10.639/03 e da história local na valorização da autoidentificação dos discentes da Escola José Brito dos Anjos, no período de 2006 a 2021. A pesquisa justifica-se pela necessidade de valorizar as contribuições dos povos africanos na construção do Brasil, promovendo uma educação inclusiva e plural. A abordagem metodológica adotada foi qualitativa e de caráter representativo, visando compreender a complexidade das interações sociais em contextos semelhantes. Os dados foram coletados por meio de observações, entrevistas, questionários e análise documental. Reconhecendo a subjetividade e generalização nas interpretações, utilizouse a triangulação de dados para mitigar essas limitações e garantir maior fidedignidade ao objeto de pesquisa. Os principais teóricos que fundamentam a pesquisa são Maria Cecília Minayo, Jacques Le Goff e Marc Bloch. A investigação destaca a importância da memória coletiva na construção da identidade cultural e da autoidentificação dos alunos, evidenciando o papel da Lei 10.639/03 na promoção da educação étnico-racial. Espera-se que a pesquisa permita à comunidade compreender como a Lei e a história local influenciam a autoidentificação dos alunos como remanescentes quilombolas, ampliando os conhecimentos sobre a ancestralidade africana e a resistência quilombola na formação da identidade brasileira.
dc.description.abstract2The research investigates the influence of Law 10.639/03 and the local history in the selfidentification of the School José Brito dos Anjos' students, in the remaining community of slavery Lagoa do Zeca, between 2006 and 2021. Aligned to the Program of Postgraduate in African Studies, Indigenous People and Black Cultures (PPGEAFIN) of UNEB, in the line of research "Culture, Education and Memory", the investigation has as the central problem to verify if the appreciation of the students' ancestry is connected to the family education, the media representation and the school environment, especially with the Law 10.639/03 applied in pedagogical practices. It also searches to investigate the remaining communities of colonial slavery's2 historical legacy awareness. The general goal is to identify Law 10.639/03 and the local history's contributions to the School José Brito dos Anjos' student's appreciation of selfidentification, from 2006 to 2021. The research is justified by the necessity of appreciation of the African people's contributions to Brazil's construction, promoting an inclusive and plural education. The methodological approach used was qualitative and of representative character, aiming to comprehend the complexity of social interaction in similar contexts. The data was collected by means of observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentary analysis. Recognizing the subjectivity and generalization in interpretations, the triangulation of data was used to mitigate those limitations and to guarantee better trustworthiness to the research object. The main theorists this research is based on are Maria Cecília Minayo, Jacques Le Goff, and Marc Bloch. The investigation highlights the importance of collective memory in the students' construction of cultural identity and self-identification, highlighting the role of Law 10.639/03 in the promotion of ethnic-racial education. It's expected that the research will allow the community to comprehend how the Law and the local history have influence in the selfidentification of students as quilombola remnants, by expanding the knowledge about African ancestry and the quilombola resistance in the formation of the Brazilian identity.
