| dc.description.abstract | Neste trabalho, analiso o cotidiano e as memórias das mulheres, em particular das “viúvas da seca” de 1932, no município de Miguel Calmon e região, localizado no Piemonte da Chapada Diamantina. As descobertas apontadas reforçam a superação do gênero feminino, que, diante de um cenário marcado pela tragédia e flagelo, exerceu relevante papel para preservação de sua prole. A fundamentação da pesquisa está estruturada a partir de levantamento de dados e informações obtidos prioritariamente de fontes orais, como entrevistas com descendentes e viúvas da seca de 1932, para tanto utilizei o método da micro história, e do estudo da memória coletiva das sertanejas através da análise de relatos de suas lembranças. Valeu-se ainda de fontes documentais encontradas no Arquivo Público e na Biblioteca de Jacobina. Concernente ao assunto, recorri a pressupostos teóricos de dezenas de autores consagrados pela Academia bem como a autores regionais. Em geral, a pesquisa discute o modo de vida dos flagelados da seca, sua saga, criatividade e resistência para enfrentar os efeitos destrutivos da estiagem de 1932, características que respondem pela própria formação da identidade do sertanejo. Neste cenário de crise, destaco o papel desenvolvido pelas mulheres, sobretudo as viúvas, no tocante à assunção de responsabilidades típicas dos chefes de famílias. Vale ressaltar que a seca vitimou dezenas de pessoas acometidas por doenças indiretamente em decorrência da fome e da falta de imunidade orgânica. Nessa pesquisa estudamos que as “viúvas da seca” eram obrigadas a trabalhar na roça uma vez que as frentes de trabalho oferecidas pelo governo Federal e Municipal eram inapropriadas para elas. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.abstract2 | In this paper, I analyze the daily lives of women, particularly widows of the 1932 drought, in Miguel Calmon County and its region, located in the foothills of Chapada Diamantina. The findings indicated strengthen the resilience of females, who, before a scenery marked by tragedy and scourge exerted significant role in the preservation of their offspring.The foundation of the research is structured based on data collection and information obtained primarily from oral sources, such as interviews with descendants and widows of the 1932 drought, through their remembrance and memories. Also drew on documentary sources found in the Public Archives and in the Library of Jacobina. Concerning the subject, resorted to theoretical assumptions of dozens of Academy's acclaimed authors, as well as to regional authors.In general, the research discusses the lifestyle of the flagellates of the drought, their saga, creativity and resilience to stand up to the destructive effects of the drought of 1932, characteristics which respond for the own formation of the identity of backcountry people. In this crisis scenario, I highlight the role played by women, especially widows, regarding the assumption of typical responsibilities of heads of families. It is necessary noteworthy that the drought killed dozens of people suffering from diseases indirectly as a result of hunger and lack of organic immunity. In this research we studied that the "widows of drought" were forced to work in the fields since the work areas offered by the Federal and Municipal government were inappropriate for them. | pt_BR |
