| dc.description.abstract | O livro destaca a presença de uma cultura fotográfica nos sertões da Bahia na primeira metade dos novecentos. Buscou-se percebê-la no circuito social da fotografia, investigando aspectos da produção, difusão e consumo, através de coleções familiares, jornais, acervos institucionais e de profissionais do ramo. A pesquisa trabalhou com análises quantitativas e qualitativas utilizando-se de diversas fontes iconograficas, impressas, manuscritas e orais nas microrregiões de Jacobina e Senhor do Bonfim. A abordagem pauta-se nas práticas sociais, representações culturais da fotografia e seus usos nas construções de memórias. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.abstract2 | This book highlights the presence of a photographic culture in the sertões of Bahia during the first half of the twentieth century. It examines this culture within the social circuit of photography, investigating aspects of production, dissemination, and consumption through family collections, newspapers, institutional archives, and professional photographers' works. The research employed both quantitative and qualitative analyses, utilizing diverse iconographic, print, manuscript, and oral sources from the micro-regions of Jacobina and Senhor do Bonfim.
