dc.description.abstractEsta pesquisa monográfica foi construída no âmbito do curso de Letras com habilitação em Língua Portuguesa e Literaturas da Universidade do Estado da Bahia – UNEB, tendo como finalidade primacial fazer uma breve análise da onomástica de origem latina na formação dos personagens da saga Harry Potter, da autora inglesa Joanne K. Rowling. A saga Harry Potter é uma obra literária envolvente e desafiadora cujo tema central – a magia –, transporta o leitor a um denso mundo metafórico, sobretudo em relação ao latim, simbolicamente considerado a língua dos bruxos, de seus feitiços e sortilégios. Dessa forma compreende-se que os nomes latinos utilizados pela autora e suas significações para o contexto da obra foram decisivos para a formação dos personagens (aparência descrita, índole, passado, e os atos presentes). Joanne K. Rowling, autora da série, faz uma reunião de conceitos folclóricos europeus e greco-romanos em sua narrativa. A referente pesquisa baseia-se nos conceitos metodológicos da pesquisa documental e o referencial teórico está centrado principalmente em Carrero (2005), Carvalhinhos (2012), Cândido (1998), Machado (1976), além das contribuições dicionarísticas de Oliver (2013) e Obata (2002). Essas obras nos deram respaldo teórico para desenvolvermos o tema proposto e assegurar os objetivos da pesquisa; contou-se também com Oliveira-Simon (2004) unidos às clássicas considerações de Aristóteles, também Colbert (2001), Houghton (2001) e Kronzek (2001), que permitiram evidenciar as formas de criação do texto literário e mais especificamente as prováveis trilhas percorridas pela autora; outras tantas contribuições se fizeram presentes neste estudo, unidos, compuseram os desdobramentos da pesquisa apresenta a seguir.
dc.description.abstract2This survey was constructed within the course of Letters of University of Bahia - UNEB, having as primatial purpose make a brief analysis of name influence in shaping the characters of the Harry Potter saga. Leaving onomastic knowledge, especially in regard to Antroponímia, the sequential search will refer to the study of Latino proper names found in the British author Joanne K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" saga. The Harry Potter saga is an engaging and challenging literary work whose central theme: "The Magic" transports the reader to a dense metaphorical world especially when it comes from the Latin, symbolically considered the language of witches and their spells and incantations. Thus it is understood that the Latin names used by the author and their meanings to the context of the work were crucial to the formation of the characters (described appearance, character, past and present acts). Joanne K. Rowling, author of the series, is a meeting of European folk concepts and Greco-Roman in his narrative. The related research is based on methodological concepts called documentary research and the theoretical framework is primarily focusing on authors such as; Carrero (2005), Carvalhinhos (2012), Cândido (1998), Machado (1976), in addition to the contributions dicionarísticas Oliver (2013) and Obata (2002). These works were given theoretical support to develop the theme and ensure the research objectives; also told to Oliveira-Simon (2004) states the classical considerations of Aristotle, also Colbert (2001), Houghton (2001) and Kronzek (2001), which directly or indirectly have highlighted the ways of creating a literary text and more specifically probable paths traveled by the author of the Harry Potter saga; many other contributions were present in this study, together, comprised the outcomes of the research presented below.
