| dc.description.abstract | O fantástico, ainda, não é muito abordado nas análises feitas sobre os contos de Machado de Assis, sendo este autor, algumas vezes, nem relacionado a esse tipo de literatura. Assim, esta pesquisa trata de uma revisão de literatura, no âmbito dos estudos literários, buscando entender como esse escritor construiu a estética fantástica em suas narrativas, com base no sonho como espaço avesso à realidade. Focalizou-se a literatura fantástica de Machado de Assis a partir dos contos Capitão Mendonça, Vida Eterna e Decadência de dois grandes homens, observando tempo, espaço, personagens e fatos, destacando a presença do mistério, da loucura e do macabro. Para tanto, tomamos como aporte teórico os estudos de Candido (1995), Ceserani (2006), Todorov (1975), Calvino (2004), Tavares (2015), Freud (2001), entre outros, e fizemos uma breve retrospectiva da literatura fantástica mundial e brasileira, levando em consideração a época, para depois tratar das narrativas fantásticas machadianas, numa perspectiva de modo(CESERANI). Machado de Assis trabalha com o fantástico, geralmente, relacionando-o ao sonho, à alucinação, mostrando esses elementos como espaços da fantasia, do horror, da descoberta do novo e do misterioso. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.abstract2 | The fantastic, yet, is not much approached in analyzes of the tales of Machado de Assis, this one, sometimes, not even being related to this kind of literature. Thus, this research deals with a literature review within the scope of literary studies, seeking to understand how the writer built the fantastic aesthetics in his narratives, based on the dream as a space averse to reality. It focused on the fantastic literature of Machado de Assis on the tales Capitão Mendonça, Vida Eterna and Decadência de dois grandes homens, observing time, space, characters and facts, highlighting the presence of mystery, madness and the macabre. Therefore, we use the theoretical contribution of the studies of Candido (1995), Ceserani (2006), Todorov (1975), Calvino (2004), Tavares (2015), Freud (2001), among others, and presented a brief retrospective of the Brazilian and worldwide fantastic literature, taking into consideration the time, and, then, deal with the Machadian’s fantastic narratives from a perspective of mode (CESERANI). Machado de Assis works with the fantastic, generally relating it to dream, hallucination, explaining these elements as spaces of fantasy, horror, the discovery of the new and the mysterious. | |
