O imaginário poético encourado: as tradições culturais do vaqueiro Itaberabense em cena

| dc.description.abstract | A historiografia literária brasileira destaca o sertanejo como uma figura popular, dado a sua significância para a representação nacional. Nessas incursões poéticas o vaqueiro vem sendo abordado de diferentes formas, povoando o imaginário popular com suas vivências e construções simbólicas. Como esse sertanejo se espalhou pelo Brasil, é nítido que essa tradição atravessa gerações e sociedades. Partindo dessa compreensão, este estudo observa como é retratada a tradição vaqueira no território itaberabense em poéticas contemporâneas, escritas e orais. Logo, a partir da temática, o imaginário poético em torno das tradições culturais do vaqueiro itaberabense, este trabalho objetiva compreender as representações do universo do vaqueiro em construções poéticas itaberabenses, identificando e discutindo os símbolos culturais, os saberes e valores que envolvem essa figura lendária. Desta forma, o meu corpus é constituído de produções poéticas que circulam na cidade de Itaberaba-BA, já publicadas, a saber: 1 lenda, 1 poema, 2 cordéis, 1 causo, 6 aboios, 2 chulas e 1 batuque. Desta maneira, foi composta uma coletânea de textos poéticos em torno da figura do vaqueiro que circulam no município. Este trabalho possui uma abordagem qualitativa, caracterizando-se como uma pesquisa documental, propondo-se a descrever como são suscitadas imagens em torno do ofício do vaqueiro e explicar como o universo poético em torno do vaqueiro itaberabense alimenta uma memória local em torno desse personagem. Para isso, a análise será apoiada nos seguintes autores: Peter Burke (1978), Nestor Garcia Canclini (2008) e Stuart Hall (2003), com a ideia da mudança paradigmática sobre cultura popular; Stuart Hall (2006), Durval Muniz Albuquerque (2013) e Renan Martins Pereira (2017) para falar de identidade cultural; Sandra Jatahy Pesavento (1995) e Cornelius Castoriadis (2004) com o conceito de imaginário como campo simbólico; Câmara Cascudo (1956), Eurico Alves Boaventura (1989) e Joana Medrado (2012) para falar da construção imagética sobre o vaqueiro; Anthony Giddens (2007) e de Eric Hobsbawm (1997) com o conceito de tradição; e a UNESCO (2003) para falar de patrimônio imaterial. Com esse estudo, viu-se a importância desse personagem na interiorização do sertão brasileiro e como são propagadas imagens com resquícios românticos sobre o vaqueiro. Nota se também deslocamentos em busca de melhores condições de vida e práticas revolucionárias frente a perspectivas de vida mais justas. Ademais, tem-se a nostalgia verificada na tensão entre o tradicional/raiz e o moderno. Assim, percebe-se as simbologias que o povo estabelece com a imagem sertaneja, compreendendo que a construção poética contemporânea em torno da figura do vaqueiro materializa a força identitária e cultural desse ofício na memória do povo itaberabense. | |
| dc.description.abstract2 | Brazilian literary historiography highlights the countryman as a popular figure, given his significance for national representation. In these poetic forays, the cowboy has been approached in different ways, populating the popular imagination with his experiences and symbolic constructions. As this country movement spread throughout Brazil, it is clear that this tradition crosses generations and societies. Based on this understanding, this study observes how the cowboy tradition is portrayed in the Itaberabense territory in contemporary poetics, written and oral. Therefore, based on the theme, the poetic imaginary surrounding the cultural traditions of the Itaberabense cowboy, this work aims to understand the representations of the cowboy universe in Itaberabense poetic constructions, identifying and discussing the cultural symbols, knowledge and values that surround this legendary figure. . In this way, my corpus is made up of poetic productions that circulate in the city of Itaberaba-BA, already published, namely: 1 legend, 1 poem, 2 cordels, 1 story, 6 aboios, 2 chulas and 1 batuque. In this way, a collection of poetic texts was composed around the figure of the cowboy that circulates in the municipality. This work has a qualitative approach, characterized as documentary research, proposing to describe how images are raised around the cowboy's craft and explain how the poetic universe around the Itaberabense cowboy feeds a local memory around this character. For this, the analysis will be supported by the following authors: Peter Burke (1978), Nestor Garcia Canclini (2008) and Stuart Hall (2003), with the idea of paradigmatic change on popular culture; Stuart Hall (2006), Durval Muniz Albuquerque (2013) and Renan Martins Pereira (2017) to talk about cultural identity; Sandra Jatahy Pesavento (1995) and Cornelius Castoriadis (2004) with the concept of imaginary as a symbolic field; Câmara Cascudo (1956), Eurico Alves Boaventura (1989) and Joana Medrado (2012) to talk about the imagetic construction of the cowboy; Anthony Giddens (2007) and Eric Hobsbawm (1997) with the concept of tradition; and UNESCO (2003) to talk about intangible heritage. With this study, we saw the importance of this character in the interiorization of the Brazilian backlands and how images with romantic remnants about the cowboy are propagated. There are also movements in search of better living conditions and revolutionary practices towards fairer life perspectives. Furthermore, there is nostalgia seen in the tension between the traditional/roots and the modern. Thus, we can see the symbols that the people establish with the country image, understanding that the contemporary poetic construction around the figure of the cowboy materializes the identity and cultural strength of this craft in the memory of the Itaberabense people. | |
