dc.description.abstractO presente trabalho investiga e analisa o processo ensino-aprendizagem, a concepção do aluno em relação à matemática, o porquê da aversão e dificuldade encontrada no entendimento da disciplina, assim como a identificação do problema que gera a reprovação sugerindo soluções que possibilitem a superação dessas dificuldades. O estudo foi realizado com base em leituras e pesquisa de campo com alunos da 8ª série de uma escola pública estadual e de um colégio particular, além de oito professores das referidas escolas que também fizeram parte desse grupo de amostragem. Os instrumentos utilizados para coleta de dados foram o questionário e entrevista, dando enfoque maior ao questionário. Neste, abordamos questões relativas ao objeto de investigação, ao método e estrutura do ensino, conceitos específicos e considerações sobre as dificuldades encontradas em matemática que, de certa forma, interferem no processo ensino-aprendizagem. A partir dai, foram feitas análises qualitativas dos conteúdos das respostas dando ênfase a temas percebidos e manifestados, principalmente, pelos alunos. Os resultados da investigação permitiram concluir que, independentemente da afinidade que alguns possuam em relação à matemática, eles identificam, indiretamente, que as dificuldades encontradas no ensino aprendizagem dessa disciplina, se deve à metodologia utilizada pelo professor.
dc.description.abstract2The present work investigates and analyzes, the process teaching-learning, the student's conception in relation to the mathematics, the reason the aversion and difficulty found in the understanding of the discipline as well as the identification of the problem that generates the failure suggesting solutions to make the overcome of this difficulties possible. The study was accomplished with base in readings and field research with students of the 8th grade of a state public school and that a private school, besides, eight teachers of the referred schools that were also part of that sampling group. The instruments used for data collection were the questionnaire and interview, giving larger focus to the questionnaire. In this, we approached relative subjects to the object of investigation, to the method and structure of the learning, specific concepts and considerations about the difficulties found in mathematics that, in a certain way, they interfere in the process of learning. From there, there were made qualitative analyses of the contents of the answers giving emphasis to subjects noticed and manifested, mainly by the students. The results of the investigation allowed the conclusion independently of the likeness that some have in relation to the mathematics, they identify indirectly that. The difficulties found in the teaching learning of this discipline, it is due to the methodology used by the teacher.
