dc.description.abstractObjetiva-se nessa pesquisa debater sobre as principais representações do Continente Africano na História em Quadrinhos “Tintim na África”. Este trabalho é motivado ainda, pelo interesse de desconstruir visões estereotipadas sobre o Continente, a partir de uma visão que interpreta a cultura e os acontecimentos ligados a ela sendo moldados por construções sociais. Usaremos “Tintim na África”, e a análise de suas imagens, como um meio de discutir as questões de representações, especificamente sobre o Continente Africano. Para tanto, é necessária uma discussão que envolva a Historiografia sobre o Continente, criando assim, novas possibilidades de interpretarmos a África, e ao mesmo tempo, entendermos quais fatores, na maioria das vezes equivocados, foram crucias para a maneira que os africanos foram rotulados e interpretados no mundo. A análise do texto e das imagens de “Tintim na África” atua como um intermédio entre o conceito de representação e as problemáticas historiográficas.
dc.description.abstract2This research aims to discuss the main representations of the African continent in the Comic "Tintin na África". This study is also motivated by the interest on deconstructing stereotypes about the continent, from a vision that interprets the culture and events related to it being shaped by social constructions. We will use "Tintin na África", and the analysis of their images as a way to discuss the issues of representation, specifically on the African Continent. This requires, a discussion including the Historiography on the Continent, thus creating new possibilities of interpreting Africa, and at the same time, we understand which factors, most often mistaken, were really significant for the way in which Africans were labeled and interpreted by the whole world. The analysis of text and images from "Tintin na África" acts as an link between the concept of representation and the historiographical issues.
