| dc.description.abstract | Este artigo visa a reflexão crítica a respeito da obra literária portuguesa Bichos, de Miguel Torga, através de uma revisão bibliográfica de materiais que discutem a imposição cultural portuguesa em um constante contraste com a lusofonia, através dessa obra tão bem elaborada que pode ser interpretada como uma alegoria do colonialismo, refletindo a invasão cultural e a dominação de Portugal sobre suas colônias. A relação entre o homem e os animais nos contos pode ser vista como uma metáfora para a relação entre colonizadores e colonizados, onde os animais representam as culturas nativas subjugadas que foram dilaceradas durante todo este processo, expondo a dominação destas nos contos, realizando uma crítica sutil à imposição de uma cultura dominante sobre os povos colonizados. A vida animal é usada como uma metáfora para a existência humana, e os contos ilustram o conflito entre o homem e a natureza. Esses conflitos são representativos das tensões sociais e políticas que marcaram o período em que Torga viveu, especialmente durante o regime salazarista em Portugal (1932 e 1974). O autor retrata a luta pela sobrevivência, tanto dos animais quanto dos seres humanos, num mundo em que forças maiores tentam controlar e subjugar. Torga, assim, oferece uma visão crítica da sociedade, utilizando a relação entre homem e bicho como um espelho das injustiças e dos conflitos sociais da época. | |
| dc.description.abstract2 | This article aims to critically reflect on the Portuguese literary work Bichos by Michel Torga, through research and literary analysis of articles, studies and essays that discuss the Portuguese cultural imposition in constant contrast with the Lusophone world, through this well-crafted work that can be interpreted as an allegory of colonialism, reflecting the cultural invasion and domination of Portugal over its colonies. The relationship between man and animals in the stories can be seen as a metaphor for the relationship between colonizers and colonized, where the animals represent the subjugated native cultures that were torn apart throughout this process, exposing their domination in the stories, carrying out a subtle criticism of the imposition of a dominant culture over the colonized peoples. Animal life is used as a metaphor for human existence, and the stories illustrate the conflict between man and nature. These conflicts are representative of the social and political tensions that marked the period in which Torga lived, especially during the Salazar regime in Portugal. The author portrays the struggle for survival, both of animals and human beings, in a world where greater forces try to control and subjugate. Torga, therefore, offers a critical view of society, using the relationship between man and animal as a mirror of the injustices and social conflicts of the time. | |
