| dc.description.abstract | Este trabalho realiza uma análise fílmica das representações das personagens históricas Maria Stuart e Elizabeth I no drama histórico anglo-americano Duas Rainhas (2018), dirigido por Josie Rourke. Para tanto, mobiliza-se um referencial teórico que articula a História das Mulheres, os estudos de gênero e a teoria feminista do cinema em diálogo com as relações entre História e Cinema, especialmente a partir da História Cultural, da História Pública e dos Usos do Passado. Com base na análise da produção cinematográfica, em diálogo com outras fontes para além das fílmicas, busca-se compreender a elaboração visual das imagens das rainhas, considerando, sobretudo, as caracterizações de suas intérpretes, Saoirse Ronan e Margot Robbie. Procura-se identificar, ainda, o argumento histórico específico elaborado em torno da rede temática da beleza. | |
| dc.description.abstract2 | This work presents a filmic analysis of the representations of the historical figures Mary Stuart and Elizabeth I in the Anglo-American historical drama Mary Queen of Scots (2018), directed by Josie Rourke. To that end, a theoretical framework is employed that articulates Women's History, gender studies, and feminist film theory, in dialogue with the relationship between History and Cinema, especially from the perspectives of Cultural History, Public History, and the Uses of the Past. Based on an analysis of film production, in dialogue with non-filmic sources, this study seeks to understand the visual elaboration of the images of the queens, considering, above all, the characterizations of their interpreters, Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie. The aim is also to identify the specific historical argument developed around the thematic network of beauty. | |
