| dc.description.abstract | O presente estudo tem como objetivo geral mapear o olhar perscrutador de Machado de Assis sobre a condição humana do Ser na construção de seus personagens, utilizando três contos:O espelho, esboço de uma nova teoria da alma humana; A causa secreta e A igreja do diabo. Para tal fim, identificar a descrição dos conflitos humanos desenhados nos personagens machadianos no jogo da hipocrisia social e como se dá a construção do percurso do Ser interior/exterior enquanto desenho das contradições humanas em sua escrita. Ainda, fez-se necessário conceituar o Ser e o parecer na filosofia e na literatura, a partir da leitura de autores como Arendt (2005) e Guatarri (1986) para tratar dos conceitos filosóficos;Sant’anna (1990), Souza (1987) e Todorov (2010) para estabelecer os conceitos literários;Moisés (2014) e Cortazár (1993) como base principal das teorias estruturais de conto.Através de um olhar irônico e nada sutil, a ficção machadiana exibe o Ser como criatura vítima de instintos incontroláveis, capazes dos atos mais desprezíveis, sendo contraditórios, duais, perversos e influenciáveis. Essa concepção machadiana é construída a partir da ideologia própria do autor de que o Ser é mau em sua própria essência. Logo, é possível concluir que a grandeza de Machado está contida em sua capacidade de atingir os pontos cruciais da alma humana, revelados através de enigmas cercados de disfarces e armadilhas extratextuais, que seduzem quem o lê, contribuindo significativamente para reflexão em torno do home | |
| dc.description.abstract2 | The present study has as its general objective to map Machado de Assis's searching gaze on the human condition of the Being in the construction of his characters, using three short stories: The Mirror, Sketch of a New Theory of the Human Soul; The Secret Cause and The Church of the Devil. To this end, identify the description of the human conflicts drawn in Machado's characters in the game of social hypocrisy and how the construction of the path of the inner/outer Being occurs as a design of human contradictions in his writing. Furthermore, it was necessary to conceptualize Being and appearance in philosophy and literature, based on the reading of authors such as Arendt (2005) and Guatarri (1986) to deal with philosophical concepts; Sant’anna (1990), Souza (1987) and Todorov (2010) to establish literary concepts; Moisés (2014) and Cortazár (1993) as the main basis for structural theories of short stories. Through an ironic and not at all subtle look, Machado’s fiction presents Being as a creature victim of uncontrollable instincts, capable of the most despicable acts, being contradictory, dual, perverse and easily influenced. This Machado conception is constructed from the author’s own ideology that Being is evil in its own essence. Therefore, it is possible to conclude that Machado's greatness is contained in his ability to reach the crucial points of the human soul, revealed through enigmas surrounded by disguises and extratextual traps, which seduce those who read him, contributing significantly to reflection around man. | |
