dc.description.abstractOBJETIVO: Sistematizar as evidências acerca dos benefícios do tratamento fisioterapêutico na reabilitação de pacientes com queimaduras. MATERIAL E MÉTODOS: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura com busca nas bases de dados PubMed, PEDro e Cochrane Library. O período da coleta de dados ocorreu entre agosto de 2021 a abril de 2023. Foram incluídos artigos que abordassem a atuação fisioterapêutica em pacientes que sofreram queimaduras corporais e faciais publicados em português e inglês. A busca de dados foi efetuada por meio das palavras-chave: Queimaduras, Fisioterapia, Terapia por Exercício, utilizando o booleano AND para combinar os termos de pesquisa. RESULTADOS: A busca realizada nas bases de dados retornou 587 artigos, dos quais 38 foram excluídos devido à duplicidade, 5 foram excluídos por estarem indisponíveis na íntegra, 537 foram excluídos com base no desenho do estudo, totalizando uma amostra final de 7 estudos. O tamanho da amostra dos artigos apresentou uma grande variação, sendo a menor composta por 20 participantes e a maior por 240 participantes. O tempo de intervenção empregado pelos pesquisadores variou de três dias até 12 meses. Os principais benefícios reportados foram a melhora na redução da dor e da função muscular respiratória, o aumento na amplitude de movimento e resolução do processo de cicatrização. CONSIDERAÇÕES FINAIS: Os resultados do presente estudo permitem concluir que a Fisioterapia é eficaz no processo de recuperação dos pacientes com queimaduras. Outrossim, os achados indicam a efetividade dos recursos e métodos utilizados, bem como os benefícios propostos por eles.
dc.description.abstract2OBJECTIVE: To systematize the evidence about the benefits of physiotherapeutic treatment in the rehabilitation of patients with burns. MATERIAL AND METHODS: This is an integrative literature review with a search in PubMed, PEDro and Cochrane Library databases. The period of data collection took place between August 2021 and April 2023. Articles that addressed physiotherapeutic action in patients who suffered body and facial burns published in Portuguese and English were included. The search for data was carried out using the keywords: Burns, Physiotherapy, Exercise Therapy, using the Boolean AND to combine the search terms. RESULTS: The search carried out in the databases returned 587 articles, of which 38 were excluded due to duplicity, 5 were excluded because they were unavailable in full, 537 were excluded based on the study design, totaling a final sample of 7 studies. The sample size of the articles varied greatly, with the smallest comprising 20 participants and the largest comprising 240 participants. The intervention time employed by the researchers ranged from three days to 12 months. The main benefits reported were the improvement in pain reduction and respiratory muscle function, the increase in range of motion and resolution of the healing process. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: The results of the present study allow us to conclude that Physical Therapy is effective in the recovery process of patients with burns. Furthermore, the findings indicate the effectiveness of the resources and methods used, as well as the benefits proposed by them.
