dc.description.abstractEsta pesquisa tem por objetivo compreender as práticas agroecológicas manifestas em comunidades rurais no município de Saúde-BA, investigando sua influência na transformação do lugar. O estudo foi realizado por meio de uma abordagem dialética materialista, analisando o fenômeno do ponto de vista da contradição e dos conflitos existente entre os dois modelos de produção agrícolas mais conhecidos, sendo eles a agricultura convencional e a agroecologia (agricultura familiar de base ecológica). Este trabalho foi desenvolvido por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica, documental, levantamento e de campo. Na pesquisa bibliográfica, foram investigadas publicações que tratam dos conceitos de lugar e agroecologia, que são fundamentais no âmbito deste estudo. Na pesquisa documental foi feito um levantamento, buscando conhecer documentos que já dissertam sobre a agroecologia no município de Saúde, sendo estes produzidos por instituição que executa projetos e presta assessoria técnica no município. O contato com esses documentos e diálogo com funcionários de outras instituições que também desenvolvem o mesmo tipo de serviço possibilitou levantar os primeiros indícios de existência de práticas agroecológicas no município de Saúde. A pesquisa de campo foi realizada nas comunidades rurais, por meio da observação participante, a fim de identificar in lócus aspectos relacionados à organização produtiva, a forma de trabalho empregada pelas famílias, bem como as técnicas de manejo adotadas por cada agricultor. Após a identificação e observações buscou-se compreender o fenômeno das práticas agroecológicas existentes nas comunidades rurais do município de Saúde, embasando-se em dois principais estudiosos sendo eles Milton Santos e Miguel Altieri. A pesquisa destaca que as práticas agroecológicas desenvolvidas pelos agricultores das comunidades pesquisadas são de grande relevância (social, cultural, ambiental e econômica) e tornam o lugar uma base para existência dos pequenos agricultores, promovendo transformações positivas na vida das famílias agricultoras, desde as relações de trabalho (através da solidariedade e autonomia), a soberania alimentar (produção de alimentos naturais para o consumo), a produção de rendimentos (comercialização direta), conservação dos recursos hídricos e cultura popular, até o envolvimento e participação social dos agricultores.pt_BR
dc.description.abstract2This research aims to understand the agroecological pratices manifested in rural communities in the municipality of Saúde-BA, investigating its influence in the transformation of the place. The study was carried out through a materialistic dialectical approach, analyzing the phenomenon from the point of view of the contradiction and conflicts existing between the two models of the well-known agricultural production, such as conventional agriculture and agroecology (family farming of ecological basis). This work was developed through a bibliographical survey, documentary, survey and field research. In the bibliographic research, was investigated publications dealing with the concepts of place and agroecology, which are fundamental in the scope of this study. In the documentary research was made a survey, seeking to know documents that have already been said about the agroecology in the municipality of Saúde, these being produced by an institution that executes projects and provides technical advice in the municipality. The contact with these documents and dialog with the employees of other institution that also develop the same type of service made it possible to raise the first indications of the existence of agroecological practices in the municipality of Saúde. The field research was performed in rural communities, through participative observation, in order to identify in lócus aspects related to the productive organization, the form of work employed by the families, as well as the management techniques adopted by each farmer. After the identification and observations we sought to understand the phenomenon of agroecological practices existing in the rural communities of the municipality of Saúde, based on two main scholars being Milton Santos and Miguel Altieri. The research highlights that the agroecological practices developed by farmers of the communities surveyed are of great relevance (social, cultural, environmental and economic) and make the place a base for the existence of small farmers, promoting positive transformations in the life of the farming families, since the work relations (through the solidarity and autonomy), food sovereignty (production of natural foods for consumption), income generation (direct marketing), conservation of water resources and popular culture, until the involvement and social participation of farmers.pt_BR
