dc.description.abstractA pesquisa está centrada no território da cidade de Serrinha-Ba. Procuro mostrar a realidade das mulheres serrinhenses em relação ao trabalho, como uma estratégia e forma de buscar mais liberdade e participação no meio social, especificamente de 1971 a 1980. Como metodologia, uso a memória, e da história oral de mulheres e homens que viviam na cidade, na década de 1970, período este, em que o Brasil vivia a Ditadura Militar. Dentro dessa complexa relação entre homens e mulheres, procuro identificar quais eram as possibilidades de atuação das mulheres dentro da sociedade serrinhense. Busca-se compreender as limitações que existia para estas em relação ao trabalho e como este auxiliava as mulheres a possuírem um espaço maior dentro da sociedade pesquisada, junto às relações desiguais de gênero. A pesquisa mostra como, na história das mulheres, em especial das mulheres serrinhenses, a luta por direitos iguais entre gêneros, se realizou de forma plena e de maneiras diversas, dentro de uma cultura ainda, onde os homens tinham mais privilégios que as mulheres.
dc.description.abstract2The research is centered in the territory of the city of Serrinha-Ba. I try to show the reality of the Serrinha’s women in relation to work, as a strategy and way to seek more freedom and participation in the social environment, specifically from 1971 to 1980. As methodology, I use the memory, and the oral history of women and men who lived in the city in the 1970s. Within this complex relationship between men and women, I try to identify the possibilities of women acting within the society of Serrinha. It seeks to understand the limitations that existed for them in relation to work and how it helped women to have a larger space within the researched society, along with the relations of gender unequal. The research shows how, in the history of women, especially of the Serrinha’s women, the struggle for equal rights between genders, took place in a full and subtle way and in diverse ways, within a culture still, where the men had more privileges than the women.
