dc.description.abstractO presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar os impactos éticos da utilização de Inteligência Artificial Generativa (IAGen) na escrita científica. A crescente presença da IA na sociedade, principalmente nas instituições de ensino, levanta a necessidade de uma reflexão crítica sobre as implicações éticas de seu uso na produção de trabalhos científicos. O estudo parte da problemática da autoria e da originalidade, considerando como a IAGen, com sua capacidade de gerar textos complexos, pode desafiar os princípios fundamentais da ética em pesquisas. Diante disso, a pesquisa tem como objetivos específicos: analisar se o uso da IAGen ajuda ou prejudica o desenvolvimento de competências fundamentais na formação de acadêmicos; explorar os desafios éticos associados à aplicação de chatbots na criação de textos científicos; e, avaliar padrões ético, diretrizes institucionais ou normativas em resposta ao usa da IA na produção de trabalhos acadêmicos. A metodologia adotada foi a revisão de literatura, com busca de artigos em português nas bases de dados Google Scholar e Portal CAPES, que buscou discutir publicações entre os anos de 2020 a 2024, todavia, após aplicação dos critérios de seleção de pesquisa, apenas publicações dos anos de 2023 e 2024 contemplaram para discussão final deste estudo, sendo períodos marcados pela popularização de ferramentas de IA. A seleção de fontes considerou a relevância do tema e a abordagem das questões éticas envolvidas no uso da Inteligência Artificial Generativa na escrita científica. Os resultados indicam que, embora a IAGen possa oferecer benefícios, como maior agilidade na produção acadêmica, ela também impõe desafios éticos significativos, como o risco de plágio e a dependência excessiva da tecnologia, o que pode afetar o desenvolvimento de habilidades críticas. A pesquisa sugere que é necessário um debate contínuo sobre a integração dessas ferramentas nas instituições de ensino, com a criação de diretrizes claras para garantir o uso responsável da IAGen. O estudo conclui que, apesar das vantagens da IAGen como ferramenta de apoio à pesquisa, seu uso deve ser cuidadosamente regulado para preservar a integridade da escrita científica, evitando que a tecnologia substitua a criatividade e o raciocínio crítico que são essenciais ao processo acadêmico.
dc.description.abstract2This study aims to analyze the ethical impacts of using Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in scientific writing. The growing presence of AI in society, especially in educational institutions, raises the need for a critical reflection on the ethical implications of its use in the production of academic work. The study addresses issues of authorship and originality, considering how GenAI, with its ability to generate complex texts, can challenge fundamental principles of research ethics. Given this context, the specific objectives of the research are: to analyze whether the use of GenAI supports or hinders the development of essential skills in academic training; to explore the ethical challenges associated with the use of chatbots in the creation of scientific texts; and to evaluate ethical standards, institutional guidelines, or regulations in response to the use of AI in academic work. The methodology adopted was a literature review, focusing on Portuguese-language articles found in the Google Scholar and CAPES Portal databases, targeting publications from 2020 to 2024. However, after applying the research selection criteria, only publications from 2023 and 2024 were included in the final discussion, as these years marked the popularization of AI tools. The selection of sources considered the relevance of the topic and the treatment of ethical issues related to the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in scientific writing. The results indicate that although GenAI can offer benefits, such as increased efficiency in academic production, it also poses significant ethical challenges, including the risk of plagiarism and excessive reliance on technology, which may hinder the development of critical thinking skills. The research suggests that there must be an ongoing debate about the integration of these tools in educational institutions, along with the establishment of clear guidelines to ensure the responsible use of GenAI. The study concludes that, despite the advantages of GenAI as a research support tool, its use should be carefully regulated in order to preserve the integrity of scientific writing, preventing the technology from replacing the creativity and critical thinking that are essential to the academic process.
