dc.description.abstractEste trabalho teve como propósito o estudo das representações visuais de seis telenovelas exibidas por canais abertos de TV entre os anos 2007 e 2012 que abordam a temática do sertão nordestino e foram ambientadas total ou parcialmente nele; foram elas: Cordel encantado, Avenida Brasil, Aquele beijo, Caras e bocas, Cheias de charme e Gabriela. O trabalho resulta da analise de cinco horas de gravação visando identificar e nomear as representações do sertão e do sertanejo, bem como relacionar os discursos verbais e imagéticos com a construção das representações sobre o sertão e sua gente. Utilizamos referenciais teóricos que definem o nosso objeto de pesquisa, além de uma análise hermenêutica para o tratamento dos dados. No primeiro momento realizamos um apanhado histórico e conceitual sobre a história da TV e das telenovelas brasileiras. Na segunda etapa tratamos de dados conceituais sobre o sertão, mídia e representações. Produzimos também uma breve discussão acerca dos estereótipos e por fim, realizamos análises identificando representações e estereótipos produzidos pela mídia televisiva.pt_BR
dc.description.abstract2This paper aimed to study the visual depictions of six soap operas shown by open TV channels between 2007 and 2012 that address the theme of the northeastern hinterland and were acclimated wholly or partly in it; they were: Cordel encantado, Avenida Brasil, Aquele beijo, Caras e bocas, Cheias de charme and Gabriela. The paper results from the analysis of five hours of recording to identify and appoint the representations of the hinterland and the backcountry as well as relate the verbal and imagistic discourses with the construction of representations of the hinterland and its people. We use theoretical frameworks that define our object of research, and a hermeneutic analysis for data processing. At first, we conducted a historical and conceptual overview on the history of TV and Brazilian soap operas. In the second step we treat conceptual data about the backcountry, media and representations. We also produce a brief discussion about stereotypes and finally, we performed an analysis identifying representations and stereotypes produced by the television media.pt_BR
