dc.description.abstractA educação, como sabemos, é política e ideológica, e, como parte da história humana, é produto de seu tempo. Ou seja, a educação para formar o sujeito histórico, por meio das escolas oficiais, tem estado historicamente de acordo com as necessidades e os interesses dos grupos dominantes em sociedade. No caso brasileiro aqui estudado, a história tem provado que, quando a educação é voltada para a formação do povo, do trabalhador, ela é diferente daqui já que é dada aos mais privilegiados. Portanto, se a educação é política e ideológica, é importante, então, pensar a escola e conseqüentemente a educação não de uma forma historicamente linear, mas percebê-la em ciclos históricos, momentos históricos onde as questões políticas, econômicas, sociais e culturais vão influenciando o modelo de escola e educação que será colocado em prática. Assim, neste trabalho, procura-se resgatar por meio da história e memória da educação brasileira e baiana, as relações políticas internacionais que levaram à criação e à implantação do modelo de educação e Escola Polivalente no Brasil e, conseqüentemente, a implantação da Escola Polivalente San Diego, nos Alagados. Faz-se necessário, portanto, saber se sua criação foi conseqüência da política internacional da Aliança para o Progresso e o Regime Militar instalado no Brasil pós-1964. Para se obter tal resposta, foi escolhido o espaço temporal de 1946, data em que se iniciou o processo de invasão dos Alagados (local em que foi implantada a Escola Polivalente San Diego), passando pela década de 60, quando a Aliança para o Progresso intensificou sua política de ajuda ao Brasil por meio das agências financiadoras, e entre elas destacando-se, neste trabalho, a USAID, que financiou os projetos de educação no Regime Militar implantado em 1964 no Brasil. Finalmente, para a compreensão do problema deste trabalho chega-se à década de 70, especificamente 1972, quando então foi criada a Escola Polivalente San Diego, objeto desta pesquisa. Neste periodo histórico, procura-se deixar claras as diversas relações políticas internacionais que levaram à criação e à implantação da Escola Polivalente San Diego nos Alagados, bairro do Uruguai em Salvador, Bahia.
dc.description.abstract2The education is considerably seen as political, ideological and as part of the human history, it is the product of its time. It means that the education to form the historical subject, through official schools, it has been historically in agreement with the needs and interests of the dominant groups in the society. The Brazilian situation which is being referred and studied, the history has proved that when the education is directed to the formation of people in general, the worker. It is clearly seen that there is a difference from the one which is given to the most privileged people. Therefore, if the education is political and ideological, so, it is important to think that the school is consequently the education not as a historically linear format, but it is seen as historical cycles, historical moments when the political, economical, social and cultural matters influence school and education patterns which will be in use. On the other hand this work tries to rescue the international politicy relation through the history and memory of the Brazilian and Baiana education which led to the creation and implantation of the education pattern and Polivalente School in Brazil and consequently the implantation of the Polivalente San Diego School, situated in Alagados Neighborhood. Then it is necessary to be known that, if its creation was a consequence of international policy agreement (Aliança) to the progress and the military government established in Brazil after 1964.To get such answer, was chosen a space of time in 1946, period when it was started the invasion of the Alagados Neighborhood, (area where the Polivalente San Diego School was implanted), and through the 60 decade when the Agreement ( Aliança) to the progress intensified its help policy to Brazil through financial agencies, among them it is stood out the USAID that financed the educational projects during the military policy in Brazil in 1964. Finally, for a better understanding of this work, let's talk about the 70 decade, specifically in 1972 when the Polivalente San Diego School was created which is the object of research of this work. At this historical time I try show clearly the several international policies which led to the creation and the implantation of the Polivalente San Diego School in Alagados Neighborhood situated in the district of Uruguai in Salvador-Bahia.
