| dc.description.abstract | Este estudo tem como objetivo fazer uma análise sobre quais representações sociais do negro e da negra o concurso Beleza Negra de Conceição do Coité - BA ajuda a construir. Para tanto foram realizadas entrevistas com o coordenador e estudantes participantes do concurso, que possibilitaram algumas reflexões acerca da construção e reconstrução das representações presentes no concurso. A pesquisa abordou alguns aspectos próprios da escravidão e do período pós-abolição, em seguida discorreu sobre o movimento negro brasileiro, apontou ainda algumas particularidades referentes à beleza e por último foram analisadas as entrevistas em uma abordagem na perspectiva das representações sociais. Após a análise das entrevistas foi percebido que para uns/umas candidatos/as a participação no evento possibilitou uma significativa mudança na forma de se reconhecer e ser reconhecido, entretanto outros/as participantes ainda não conseguiram assumir a sua negritude por não assimilarem o objetivo do evento. | |
| dc.description.abstract2 | This study aims to analyze which social representations of black men and women are helped to be constructed by the Beleza Negra contest in Conceição do Coité, Bahia. To this end, interviews were conducted with the coordinator and students participating in the contest, which provided some information about the construction and information on the representations presented in the contest. The research addressed some aspects of slavery and the post-abolition period, then discussed the Brazilian black movement, pointed out some particularities related to beauty, and finally, the interviews were highlighted from the perspective of social representations. After analyzing the interviews, it was noticed that for some candidates, participation in the event enabled a significant change in the way they distinguished themselves and were recognized, however, other participants have not yet assumed their blackness because they do not assimilate the objective of the event.
