dc.description.abstractO ano de 1888 no Brasil foi marcado por um dos mais importantes acontecimentos: a abolição da escravatura. Lei Áurea assinada pela Princesa Isabel que decretava a libertação dos escravos foi uma das maiores conquistas no cenário da escravidão brasileira. Muitos anos se passaram, e hoje, em pleno ano de 2022 ainda se faz necessário discutir acerca desses estigmas cujas marcas da desigualdade racial e preconceito ainda permanecem nas vidas dos povos negros em muitas esferas da sociedade, dentre eles a escola. Observa-se que muitas vezes a escola é uma das instituições que intensifica o racismo na sociedade. Os materiais por ela usados tem sido muitas vezes objetos de estudos de pesquisas para tentar se questionar essas discussões no que se refere à educação e a relação com o preconceito racial. Diante disso, o presente trabalho terá por objetivo analisar algumas dessas questões acerca do ensino da História e as abordagens raciais presentes nos livros didáticos adotados pela escola para uso de ensino nessa disciplina. Este trabalho de conclusão se dará a partir da análise dos seguintes materiais: O livro didático da coleção Estudar história: das origens do homem à era digital (2018), das autoras Patrícia Ramos Braick e Ana Barreto, do 9º ano, publicado pela editora Moderna,livros didáticos do 8 e 9 ano.
dc.description.abstract2The year 1888 in Brazil was marked by one of the most important events: the abolition of slavery. The Lei Áurea (Golden Law) signed by Princess Isabel, which decreed the liberation of slaves, was one of the greatest achievements in the scenario of Brazilian slavery. Many years have passed, and today, in the year 2022, it is still necessary to discuss these stigmas, the marks of racial inequality and prejudice that still remain in the lives of black people in many spheres of society, including schools. It is observed that schools are often one of the institutions that intensify racism in society. The materials they use have often been the subject of research studies to try to question these discussions regarding education and its relationship with racial prejudice. In view of this, this work will aim to analyze some of these issues regarding the teaching of History and the racial approaches present in the textbooks adopted by schools for use in teaching this subject. This final paper will be based on the analysis of the following materials: The textbook from the collection Estudar história: das origens do homem à era digitl (2018), by authors Patrícia Ramos Braick and Ana Barreto, for the 9th grade, published by Editora Moderna, and textbooks for the 8th and 9th grades. The interest in this research arises as an attempt to also discuss law 10.639/03, which concerns the teaching of African and Afro-Brazilian History and Culture in schools. In view of this, one of the guiding questions is to understand how the books contemplate this law created in 2003 and how the content is approached in the textbooks adopted by schools in Itaberaba during 2018. The work was divided into two parts: the first seeks to analyze social issues and racism; it will also report on the issue of textbooks and racism; after that, the textbooks adopted in Itaberaba will be analyzed. In the second part, the authors of the textbook will be presented, the study of history, and law 10.639/03, a content analysis will be carried out.
