dc.description.abstractA presente pesquisa investigou as principais estratégias para marcar a indeterminação do sujeito na fala urbana popular e culta de Salvador, registrando-as e descrevendo-as. Buscaram-se não só as formas consideradas canônicas pelas gramáticas tradicionais, tais como as formas verbais sem sujeito lexical expresso, o verbo na 3ª pessoa do plural (Ø+V3PP), o verbo na 3ª pessoa do singular mais o pronome “se” (Ø+V3PS+SE) ou ainda o verbo no infinitivo impessoal (Ø+VINF), mas também outras estratégias como “você”, “a gente”, “nós”, “eles”, “eu”, voz passiva sem a gente (VPSA), voz passiva sintética (VPASSINT) e as “formas nominais”, como, por exemplo, “o cara, o sujeito, o pessoal” entre outras. O trabalho foi desenvolvido de acordo com o enquadramento teórico-metodológico da Sociolinguística Variacionista, buscando identificar os contextos extralinguísticos ou sociais (gênero/sexo, escolaridade e faixa etária) e linguísticos (forma antecedente, mudança/manutenção do referente, tempo e modo verbal, tipo de verbo, preenchimento do sujeito, tipo de oração, grau de indeterminação) que justificassem os usos encontrados. Para a realização desta pesquisa, foram analisados quarenta e quatro inquéritos do tipo DID (Diálogo entre Informante e Documentador) do Programa de Estudos sobre o Português Popular Falado de Salvador (PEPP) e do Projeto de Estudo da Norma Linguística Urbana Culta de Salvador (NURC-SSA). Os dados, após sua coleta, foram submetidos à quantificação através do pacote de programa Varbrul 2S e do GoldVarb X. Os resultados mostraram que os falantes de Salvador nos diversos níveis de escolaridade fazem uso de várias estratégias para marcar a indeterminação do sujeito, principalmente das formas pronominais “você” e “a gente”, influenciadas por diversos fatores extralinguísticos e linguísticos.
dc.description.abstract2The present research investigated the main strategies to mark the undetermination of the subject in urban speech popular and cultured of Salvador, registering them and describing them. The forms considered canonic for the traditional grammars, such as the verbal forms without expressed lexical subject, the verb in 3rd person of the plural (Ø+V3PP), the verb in 3rd person singular plus the pronoun “se” (Ø+V3PS+SE), the verb in the impersonal infinitive (Ø+VINF), but also other strategies as “você”, “a gente”, “nós”, “eles”, “eu”, passive voice without subject (VPSA), synthetic passive voice (VPASSINT) and the “nominal forms”, for example, “o cara, o sujeito, o pessoal” among others. The work was developed in accordance with the framing theoretician-methodological of the Variationist Sociolinguístics, having searched to identify to the extralinguistic or social contexts (gender/sex, education and age) and linguistics (antecedent form, change/maintenance of the referring one, verb tenses, verb type, fulfilling of the subject, sentence type, degree of undetermination) that they justified the uses found. For the accomplishment of this research, forty four inquiries of type DID (Dialogue between Informer and Documentor) of the Program of studies on the Popular Portuguese Speech of Salvador (PEPP) and of the Project of study of Cultured Urban Linguistic Norm of Salvador (NURC-SSA). The data, after its collection, were submitted to the quantification through the Varbrul 2S and GoldVarb X program. The results showed that the speakers of Salvador in the various levels of education make use of some strategies to mark the undetermination of the subject, mainly of the pronominal forms “você” and “a gente”, influenced for diverse extralinguistic and linguistics factors.
