| dc.description.abstract | Quando pessoas trocam olhares, a comunicação se faz, muitas vezes, sem precisar de uma palavra sequer. De fato, o universo comunicativo não se atrela apenas ao poderio da palavra, escapa ao dito, amplia-se a experiências sensoriais e motoras. No entanto, as palavras ainda compõem a forma mais duradoura de assegurar a comunicação entre pessoas e povos em tempos e espaços distintos. Um fóssil pode informar a respeito de aspectos da vida de um povo antigo, mas a língua falada por este povo pode legar muito mais detalhamento da sua cultura para as gerações vindouras. Dito de outro modo, estudar o léxico de uma língua é esmiuçar a cultura e a história de um povo, visto que, por meio de palavras, o ser humano se expressa e revela seus usos, costumes, mentalidades, emoções, crenças, desejos, maneiras de compreender seu mundo e de projetar o seu futuro. Há diversas formas de desenvolver um estudo lexical, e algumas delas são apresentadas nesta coletânea de artigos, intitulada Olhares sobre o léxico: perspectivas de estudos. A Lexicologia é a ciência que estuda o léxico em diversas perspectivas, e cada uma delas depende do olhar do pesquisador. O olhar investigativo é, pois, parte da construção do objeto a ser investigado, ou seja, tudo vai partir desse olhar, muito importando de onde se mira e como se vê o objeto. Uma pesquisa lexical constrói-se a partir da formação do pesquisador, da sua trajetória de estudos, da observação das relações lexicais (linguística, pragmática, discursiva, histórica e cultural), do ângulo em que se posiciona na Lexicologia, considerando suas subdivisões (Lexicografia, Terminologia, Semântica, Etimologia, Onomasiologia, Semasiologia), e dos possíveis diálogos lexicológicos com outros estudos linguísticos ou com outras ciências. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.abstract2 | When people exchange glances, communication often occurs without a single word. Indeed, the communicative universe is not solely tied to the power of words; it escapes the spoken, expanding into sensory and motor experiences. However, words still form the most enduring way to ensure communication between people and peoples across different times and spaces. A fossil can inform us about aspects of an ancient people's life, but the language spoken by this people can bequeath far more detail about their culture to future generations. Put another way, studying a language's lexicon is to meticulously examine the culture and history of a people, as, through words, human beings express themselves and reveal their uses, customs, mentalities, emotions, beliefs, desires, ways of understanding their world, and projecting their future. There are various ways to develop a lexical study, and some of them are presented in this collection of articles, titled "Perspectives on the Lexicon: Study Perspectives." Lexicology is the science that studies the lexicon from diverse perspectives, and each depends on the researcher's gaze. The investigative gaze is, therefore, part of the construction of the object to be investigated; that is, everything will stem from this gaze, with great importance placed on where one looks from and how one sees the object. Lexical research is built upon the researcher's background, their study trajectory, the observation of lexical relationships (linguistic, pragmatic, discursive, historical, and cultural), the angle from which they position themselves in Lexicology, considering its subdivisions (Lexicography, Terminology, Semantics, Etymology, Onomasiology, Semasiology), and the possible lexicological dialogues with other linguistic studies or with other sciences.
