| dc.description.abstract | Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar o processo de fundação da Associação de Pais e Amigos dos Excepcionais (APAE) e sua relação com Escola Luz e Saber de Valente, cidade do estado da Bahia, a fim de identificar possíveis contribuições sociais para o Município. O recorte temporal desta análise foi o período de 2003, ano de fundação da APAE, até os dias atuais. Este trabalho também trará uma breve contextualização da história da educação especial ao logo dos anos, e tem como principal fonte os documentos do arquivo da escola, como atas, livros das assembleias gerais, livro de ponto, livro de presença dos pais, relatos orais coletados por meios de entrevistas com os funcionários, alunos e pais que foram protagonistas das atividades realizadas nessa associação ao longo dos 15 anos de atuação dentro da cidade do município. Busco compreender como a APAE desenvolveu a inclusão de seus alunos e como foi o processo por essa luta, apontando discussões sobre o movimento apaeano no país e suas iniciativas para atender pessoas com deficiência. Para dialogar sobre a História da Educação no Brasil me apoio em Ghiraldelli Júnior (2009) e Manacorda (2010); Mazzotta (2001) e Mantoan (2003), entre outros, me ajudaram a compreender sobre a Educação Especial; exploro também documentos oficiais como a LDB (1996), decretos de leis e estatutos referentes ao tema; para orientar-me no manuseio das entrevistas me apoio em Meihy (2005). | |
| dc.description.abstract2 | This research aimed to analyze the founding process of the Association of Parents and Friends of the Exceptional (APAE) and its relationship with the Luz e Saber School in Valente, a city in the state of Bahia, in order to identify possible social contributions to the municipality. The time frame of this analysis was the period from 2003, the year APAE was founded, to the present day. This work will also provide a brief contextualization of the history of special education over the years, and its main source is the documents from the school archives, such as minutes, general assembly books, time books, parents' attendance books, and oral reports collected through interviews with employees, students, and parents who were protagonists of the activities carried out by this association over the 15 years of operation within the city. I seek to understand how APAE developed the inclusion of its students and how the process for this struggle was, highlighting discussions about the APAE movement in the country and its initiatives to serve people with disabilities. To discuss the History of Education in Brazil, I rely on Ghiraldelli Júnior (2009) and Manacorda (2010); Mazzotta (2001) and Mantoan (2003), among others, who helped me understand Special Education; I also explore official documents such as the LDB (1996), decrees and statutes related to the topic; to guide me in handling the interviews, I rely on Meihy (2005). | |
