| dc.description.abstract | O presente trabalho, de cunho qualitativo, busca analisar o papel da mídia na comunicação de crimes sexuais, com enfoque no estudo de caso do estupro coletivo da Banda New Hit, entre os anos de 2012 e 2017. Sabe-se que, diariamente, mulheres são vítimas de crimes sexuais e são expostas pela Mídia por meio de reportagens que noticiam o delito de maneira sensacionalista sem o consentimento da vítima, sob alegação de que estariam garantindo acesso à informação ao público, ocasionando diversas situações de prolongamento do sofrimento das vítimas. Por isso, é necessária a observação de nuances da revitimização a partir de um trabalho de campo que consistirá em entrevista com a promotora do caso, bem como na criação de tabelas sobre a retratação das vítimas nas reportagens divulgadas nos principais portais de comunicação. Além disso, como método empírico-indutivo, pautado na análise observadora do caso, busca-se a extração de uma premissa por meio da investigação das informações midiáticas exploradas, partindo do relato de quem participou ativamente do caso e o modo como as notícias divulgadas impactaram a vida das jovens. Verificou-se a revitimização das adolescentes através do discurso midiático estigmatizante e silenciador que, confere tratamento desigual às adolescentes quando comparado aos agressores, de modo que, a validação do relato das vítimas ocorre, frequentemente, quando correspondido o papel de “vítima ideal”. Não obstante, constatou-se também uma revitimização indireta através da exposição excessiva do caso em um tom supostamente imparcial, enfatizando a imagem dos agressores como artistas em ascensão, enquanto a reputação das menores foram questionadas. | |
| dc.description.abstract2 | This qualitative work aims to analyze the role of the media in the communication of sexual crimes, focusing on the case study of the collective rape involving the Banda New Hit, between the years 2012 and 2017. It is known that daily, women are victims of sexual crimes and are exposed by the media through reports that sensationalize the crime without the victim's consent, under the pretense of ensuring public access to information, resulting in various situations that prolong the suffering of the victims. Therefore, it is necessary to observe the nuances of revictimization through a field study that will consist of interviews with the prosecutor of the case, as well as the creation of tables regarding the portrayal of victims in the reports published by the main media outlets. Furthermore, as an empirical-inductive method based on observational analysis of the case, this seeks to extract a premise through the investigation of the media information explored, starting from the account of those who actively participated in the case and how the news published impacted the lives of the young women. It was noted that the re-victimization of the adolescents occurred through stigmatizing and silencing media discourse that provides unequal treatment to the adolescents compared to the aggressors, in such a way that the validation of the victims' accounts often occurs when they fulfill the role of 'ideal victim.' Moreover, there was also a finding of indirect re-victimization through the excessive exposure of the case in an allegedly impartial tone, emphasizing the image of the aggressors as rising artists while the reputation of the minors was questioned.
