| dc.description.abstract | Para compreender a climatologia pluvial local e a dinâmica hídrica do sistema para o município de Barreiras-BA, o presente trabalho teve como objetivo analisar a precipitação pluvial, utilizando estatísticas como uma ferramenta descritivas, inferenciais Kimball, Gama, período de retorno e balanço hídrico. Utilizaram-se dados meteorológicos do período de 1981 a 2024, coletados da estação convencional do INMET e complementados por informações do NASA POWER. A metodologia empregou análises estatísticas descritivas, distribuições probabilísticas empírica (Kimball) e teórica (Gama Incompleta), determinação de períodos de retorno e elaboração do balanço hídrico climatológico pelo método de Thornthwaite-Mather. Os parâmetros α e β da distribuição Gama foram estimados pelo método de máxima verossimilhança, com validação através do teste de Kolmogorov-Smirnov (p > 0,05 para todos os meses). A análise da precipitação em Barreiras-BA revelou forte sazonalidade, com estação seca irregular (maio a setembro) e período chuvoso mais estável (outubro a abril). A distribuição Gama ajustou-se bem aos dados, permitindo modelagens confiáveis. Os ajustes logarítmicos e o balanço hídrico destacaram períodos de excedentes e déficits, reforçando a importância da irrigação. As informações obtidas são estratégicas para decisões agrícolas, especialmente frente à variabilidade climática e à gestão eficiente da água. | |
| dc.description.abstract2 | To understand the local rainfall climatology and the hydrological dynamics of the system for the municipality of Barreiras-BA, this study aimed to analyze rainfall precipitation using descriptive and inferential statistics such as Kimball, Gamma, return period, and water balance as tools. Meteorological data from 1981 to 2024 were used, collected from the INMET conventional station and supplemented by NASA POWER information. The methodology employed descriptive statistical analyses, empirical (Kimball) and theoretical (Incomplete Gamma) probabilistic distributions, determination of return periods, and elaboration of the climatological water balance using the Thornthwaite-Mather method. The α and β parameters of the Gamma distribution were estimated by the maximum likelihood method, with validation through the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test (p > 0.05 for all months). The precipitation analysis in Barreiras-BA revealed strong seasonality, with an irregular dry season (May to September) and a more stable rainy period (October to April). The Gamma distribution fitted well to the data, allowing reliable modeling. Logarithmic adjustments and water balance highlighted periods of surplus and deficit, reinforcing the importance of irrigation. The information obtained is strategic for agricultural decisions, especially in the face of climate variability and efficient water management. | |
