| dc.description.abstract | O presente trabalho de conclusão de curso teve como objetivo geral analisar as alterações fluviais do rio Itapicuru Mirim no perímetro urbano da cidade de Jacobina, Bahia. As análises deste trabalho foram subsidiadas pelas discussões teóricas da Geomorfologia fluvial e urbana, bem como a compreensão do processo de urbanização e modernização de Jacobina. A investigação foi norteada pelos seguintes objetivos específicos: Descrever as características do sistema natural do rio Itapicuru Mirim, a partir de uma perscpetica integradora; Identificar a transformação estrutural do canal fluvial no perímetro urbano gerada pelas intervenções do sistema antrópico, bem como levantar dados secundários sobre a ocorrência de inundações no perímetro urbano da cidade de Jacobina. A metodologia empregada foi de caráter documental e qualitativo, utilizando como instrumento a imprensa escrita, através de textos e reportagens jornalísticas, fotografias urbanas e fontes secundárias do Banco de Dados Meteorológicos para ensino e Pesquisa – BDMEP, o Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia – INMET, a Rede Hidrometeorológica Nacional – RHN, da Agência Nacional de Águas – ANA, com o intuito de correlacionar os eventos de precipitação pluviométrica com a ocorrência de eventos de inundações. Os resultados constataram que as alterações fluviais do rio Itapicuru Mirim no perímetro urbano de Jacobina ocorreram entre as décadas de 1940 e 1950 com obras de caráter estrutural intensivo que tinham o objetivo de conter e minimizar os danos à população, mas que, por outro lado, mostrou-se ter finalidades modernistas e paliativas. Os registros de inundações entre os anos de 1974 e 2004 revelaram que neste período foram noticiados e registrados pelos jornais locais e pelos fotógrafos da época cinco (5) eventos de inundação, nos anos de 1974, 1980, 1994, 2002 e 2004, respectivamente, onde se identificou eventos de inundação do tipo gradual e brusca. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.abstract2 | The present work of course conclusion had the general objective to analyze the fluvial changes of the river Itapicuru Mirim in the urban perimeter of the city of Jacobina, Bahia. The analyzes of this work were subsidized by the theoretical discussions of fluvial and urban geomorphology, as well as the understanding of the process of urbanization and modernization of Jacobina. The research was guided by the following specific objectives: To describe the characteristics of the natural system of the Itapicuru Mirim river, based on na integrative perspective; To identify the structural transformation of the river channel in the urban perimeter generated by the interventions of the anthropic system, as well as to raise secondary data on the occurrence of floods in the urban perimeter of the city of Jacobina. The methodology used was documentary and qualitative, using as an instrument the written press, through texts and journalistic reports, urban photographs and secondary sources of the Meteorological Database for Teaching and Research - BDMEP, the National Institute of Meteorology - INMET, the National Hydrometeorological Network - RHN, of the National Water Agency (ANA), in order to correlate rainfall events with the occurrence of flood events. The results showed that the river alterations of the Itapicuru Mirim river in the urban perimeter of Jacobina occurred between the 1940s and 1950s with intensive structural Works that had the objective of containing and minimizing damages to the population but, on the other hand, was shown to have modernist and palliative purposes. Flood records between 1974 and 2004 revealed that floods in the years 1974, 1980, 1994, 2002 and 2004 were reported and recorded by local newspapers and photographers at the time, where gradual and abrupt flood events were identified. | pt_BR |
