| dc.description.abstract | Este trabalho tem como objeto de estudo o romance Ensaio sobre a cegueira, de José Saramago, com o objetivo de questionar e refletir sobre a identidade no contexto pós-moderno. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa de caráter bibliográfico que toma como corpus de análise a obra do autor lusitano. A cegueira, tema central do romance, é articulada com o olhar. Um olhar que transcende os limites visuais, impostos pela sociedade da imagem, e se estende para um mundo onde o visível e o invisível são moldados no sensível. Os principais resultados apontados pelo estudo investigativo foram: demonstrar o que ocasiona a fragmentação do indivíduo, como ela ocorre e de que forma os personagens a incorpora. Acredita-se que a cegueira descrita como um sol dentro de um nevoeiro é a metáfora de um sinuoso caminho rumo à visão, à aprendizagem do olhar. Ela viabiliza o processo de um certo estilo de visão, que parte do corpo como algo que me abre ao mundo e me possibilita, no movimento da existência, a direção ao outro. Fundamentadas nos estudos de Stuart Hall (2006), Carlos Reis (1998), Michel Foucault (1979) e Marc Augé (1994) busca-se ressaltar o romance de Saramago como espaço de questionamento do homem no mundo. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.abstract2 | This work aims to study the novel Essay on the blindness of José Saramago, with the objective of questioning and reflecting on identity in the postmodern context. It is a qualitative research of bibliographic character that takes as corpus of analysis the work of José Saramago Essay on blindness. Blindness, the central theme of the novel, is articulated with the eye. A look that transcends the visual boundaries, imposed by the image society, and extends to a world where the visible and the invisible, are shaped in the sensitive. The main results pointed out by the investigative study were: to demonstrate what causes the fragmentation of the individual, how it occurs and how the characters incorporate it. Believing that the blindness described as a sun in a fog is the metaphor of a winding path to sight, to learning the look. It enables the process of a certain style of vision, which departs from the body as something that opens me to the world and enables me, in the movement of existence towards the other. Based on studies by Stuart Hall (2006), Carlos Reis (1998), Michel Foucault (1979) and Marc Augé (1994) seeks to highlight the novel of Saramago as a space for questioning the man in the world. | pt_BR |
