| dc.description.abstract | Este trabalho tem por finalidade investigar de que maneira a Literatura Afro-brasileira pode contribuir na busca pela afirmação da identidade e cultura negra, pois ela promove um espaço em que se torna possível evidenciar a negritude e romper com estereótipos herdados do período da escravidão. Desta forma, visa-se apresentar como a identidade e a cultura negra são valorizadas através dos personagens do livro Ponciá Vicêncio (2003), da escritora Conceição Evaristo, além de identificar nesta obra momentos de resistência e luta pela afirmação e reconhecimento social do negro. Em Ponciá Vicêncio, Conceição Evaristo apresenta a complexidade dos personagens, expondo suas características e relações com a causa do negro. Busca-se ainda examinar como a negritude foi representada no romance pela escritora, discutindo de que maneira a obra engajou-se numa representação mais próxima e compromissada com a identidade negra, abordando a presença do discurso da exclusão do negro na sociedade e a maneira pela qual a voz de uma mulher negra emerge em uma literatura brasileira marcada por um cânone branco, masculino e elitista. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.abstract2 | This study aims to investigate how the African-Brazilian literature can contribute to the search for the affirmation of black identity and culture because it promotes a space where it is possible to demonstrate the negritude and break with the legacy of slavery period stereotypes. Thus, the aim is to present the identity and black culture are valued through the characters of the book Ponciá Vicêncio (2003), by Conceição Evaristo, and identify in this work moments of resistance and struggle for the affirmation and social recognition of black people. In Ponciá Vicêncio, Conceição Evaristo shows the complexity of the characters, showing their characteristics and relationships with the cause of black people. We seek further to examine how the negritude was presented in the novel by the writer, discussing how the work is engaged in a representation closer and more committed to black identity, by addressing the presence of black people exclusion discourse in society and the way in which the voice of a black woman emerges in a Brazilian literature marked by a white, male and elitist canon. | pt_BR |
