| dc.description.abstract | A Segunda Guerra Mundial representa um marco para a sociedade contemporânea, inúmeros estudiosos se dedicaram ao entendimento desse acontecimento. Visando essa busca pela compreensão do fenômeno realizamos a presente análise, essa dissertação possui como base documental o jornal O Lidador, periódico que circulou na região de Jacobina-Ba entre 1933 a 1943, dentro dessa temporalidade foi escolhido um determinado período ao qual a pesquisa aborda 1939 e 1941. Construímos a interpretação sobre o contexto histórico, em questão, através da análise dos discursos entre textos e imagens contidos nas notícias divulgadas pelo jornal, iniciamos pela abordagem de construção historiográfica, com o método de estudo das fontes, caminhando posteriormente para a percepção do início do conflito entre potências mundiais, assim como, buscamos o entendimento da predominante ideologia britânica que perpassava as notícias do jornal. A percepção contida nas fontes nos forneceram indícios para interpretação do período, assim, figuras importantes no plano político transitaram pelas matérias, em algumas ocasiões, revestidos de heroísmo em outras assumindo a figura do inimigo. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.abstract2 | The Second World War represents a mark to the contemporary society. Many scholars devoted their studies to the understanding of this event. Aiming this search for the comprehension of this phenomenon, we realized this analysis. This research has as its evidence base the newspaper O Lidador, journal that has its circulation in the surrounding of Jacobina-Ba during the period comprised the interval from the year 1933 to 1943. We built the interpretation about the historical context of the time through the analysis of the discourses between texts and images in the news reported by the newspaper. We started by the historiographical construction approach as a method of studying the sources going, then, to the perception of the beginning of the conflict between the world powers also aiming the understanding of the predominant British ideology perceive throughout the newspaper. The perception contained in the sources provided evidence to the interpretation of the period. This way, important personalities in the political realm were reported in the news sometimes like heroes and sometimes like enemies. | pt_BR |
