| dc.description.abstract | O presente estudo trata da análise da obra literária O Patinho feio, tendo como recorte principal a crise de identidade na vertente de signos e significados, destacando-se o personagem principal, o patinho feio, e a sua trajetória de origem e crescimento. Analisam-se o universo do conto maravilhoso e sua morfologia; a representação do patinho feio no conto e a relação da história de vida de seu autor, Hans Christian Andersen, com a personagem principal. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica com embasamento teórico, destacam-se: Nelly Novaes Coelho (2006, 2008), Nádia Batella (2006), Bruno Betlheim (1980), Carl Jung (2008) e Stuart Hall. O conto O patinho feio põe em questão uma dificuldade pela qual alguns adolescentes passam, que é a de serem ou não serem aceitos pela família, pelos amigos, pela sociedade e/ou não se aceitarem como são. Torna-se perceptível no decorrer da análise que o conto infantil é rico em signos e significados os quais têm alto poder na compreensão do ser humano, manifestando-se através da fantasia, da imaginação e dos sonhos, alcançando, assim, a mente da criança. O patinho feio apresenta inicialmente o estigma de um animal bobo, sem importância e de baixa autoestima, entrando em conflito existencial, pois não sabia da sua origem, passa por uma metamorfose e descobre que é um cisne, encontrando assim sua verdadeira identidade. Conclui-se, assim, que a intenção de Hans Christian Andersen era mostrar para as crianças e adolescentes que eles precisavam acreditar mais em si, aceitando-se como são. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.abstract2 | The present study deals with the analysis of the literary work “The Ugly Duckling”, having as main cut the identity crisis in the strand of signs and meanings, highlighting the main character, the ugly duckling, and its trajectory of origin and growth. The universe of the wonderful tale and its morphology are analyzed; the representation of the ugly duckling in the story and the relationship between the life of its author, Hans Christian Andersen, with the main character’s. As a theoretical background, the following stand out: Nelly Novaes Coelho (2006, 2008), Nádia Batella (2006), Bruno Betlheim (1980), Carl Jung (2008) and Stuart Hall. The tale “The Ugly Duckling” calls into question the difficulty for some adolescents of whether or not being accepted by family, friends, society and of accepting/or not themselves as they are. We could notice in the course of analysis that the infant story is rich in signs and meanings that have high power in the understanding of the human being, manifesting through fantasy, imagination and dreams, thus reaching the mind of the child. “The Ugly Duckling” initially presents the stigma of a silly, unimportant and of low self-esteem animal, entering into existential conflict, because it did not know of its origin. Then, it undergoes a metamorphosis and discovers itself as a swan, thus finding its identity. We could conclude, therefore, that Hans Christian Andersen's intention was to show children and adolescents that they need to believe more in them, accepting themselves as they are. | pt_BR |
