| dc.description.abstract | Este trabalho visa a analisar o fenômeno da monotongação na fala dos trabalhadores da feira de Jacobina. A monotongação constitui-se como a representação de um fenômeno linguístico em que ocorre a simplificação de um ditongo através da supressão da semivogal, sobrando apenas o som da vogal. Dessa forma, entendendo que a Língua Portuguesa sofreu e sofre variações e mudanças, à medida que é utilizada por seus falantes, faz-se necessário desenvolver pesquisas na área de variação linguística, visando uma abordagem científica do tema. A abordagem teórica para a construção dessa pesquisa segue a perspectiva da Sociolinguística Variacionista. O corpus desta pesquisa é constituído a partir de dados retirados das entrevistas gravadas com autorização dos informantes, com um questionário composto por 14 perguntas, para documentar a ocorrência ou não do fenômeno da monotongação, como por exemplo, a questão do Questionário Fonético Fonológico (QFF) 01, “Quando se compra uma televisão, um ventilador, um sapato, ele vem da loja dentro de quê?” “caixa”, bem como a questão QFF 11, “Jacobina é conhecida como a cidade de quê? “ouro”, e também a questão QFF 07, “O que é que se pesca nos rios, no mar?” “peixe”. Sendo estes 12 informantes entrevistados feirantes da cidade de Jacobina, com faixa etária I: (18 a 30 anos) e II (40 a 65 anos), escolaridade (Ensino Fundamental incompleto, completo e Ensino Médio) sexo (masculino e feminino). As entrevistas foram transcritas grafematicamente e, também, foneticamente. Os resultados obtidos mostraram que o fenômeno da monotongação está presente na fala dos feirantes de Jacobina - BA, em que os fatores sociais apresentaram maior relevância do que os fatores linguísticos, como a variável sexo, destacando o sexo feminino, uma vez que o maior número de ocorrências está presente na fala das feirantes, bem como a variável escolaridade, visto que as porcentagens maiores das ocorrências encontradas estão presentes nas respostas dos informantes com menos escolarização. | pt_BR |

The monophthong is a representation of a linguistic phenomenon in which a diphthong is simplified through the suppression of the semivowel, leaving only the vowel sound. Thus, understanding that the Portuguese language has undergone and undergoes variations and changes, as it is used by its speakers, it is necessary to develop research in the area of linguistic variation, aiming at a scientific approach to the subject. The theoretical approach for the construction of this research follows the perspective of Variationist Sociolinguistics. The corpus of this research is based on data taken from interviews recorded with the consent of the informants, with a questionnaire consisting of 14 questions, to document the occurrence or not of the phenomenon of monotongue, such as the Phonological Phonetic Questionnaire (FFQ). ) 01, "When you buy a television, a fan, a shoe, what does it"fish". These 12 informants were interviewed at street vendors in the city of Jacobina, with age group I: (18 to 30 years old) and II (40 to 65 years old), education (incomplete, complete elementary school and high school) and gender (male and female). The results obtained showed that the phenomenon of monotongue is present in the speech of merchants in Jacobina - BA, in which social factors were more relevant than linguistic factors, such as the gender variable, highlighting the female sex, since the largest number of occurrences is present in the speech of the stallholders, as well as the education variable, since the highest percentages of the occurrences found are present in the answers of the informants with less education. | pt_BR |
